Jack White

Get In The Booth

In case you missed it last night, Neil Young and Jack White were on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. They actually recorded and pressed a vinyl in real time. White found a Voice- O- Graph booth from 1947 after a long search and restoration. The Voice-O-Graph debuted on record store day last year at Third Man Records. Young happened to be there and approached White about cutting an entire album in the booth, which was the result of A Letter Home, Young’s LP of covers due out May 27th.  Here’s Jack and Neil explaining it. It make sense, let’s hope it’s actually as amazing as the packaging for this album. In theory this should be mind blowing. Right piece of equipment for this album…..

Let’s hope this collaboration is as good as Jake White’s with Loretta Lynn.

AG Rojas has done it again- another excellent video, “Sixteen Salteens” from Jack White’s solo album Blunderbuss. The video is wonderfully disturbing without being over the top and features children, again. As far as we are concerned AG is at the top of his game and we can’t wait to see more videos from him.

Third Man Records Rolling Record Store

The big yellow truck is rolling into SXSW today and will be there until March 20th. Jack White’s record store on wheels will be offering ultra limited vinyl only available at the rolling record store along with a DJ and set up for bands to plug in and play directly from the truck. Jack’s on a mission to bring vinyl to the masses. Sure hope Jack doesn’t have to fight any taco trucks for space down there. Check out the awesome video from Third Man Records’s site….
