If you can make it to the INDO gallery on Whitechapel Road in London you owe it to yourself to see Steve Gullick’s exhibit “Punk As Fuck” opening tomorrow. . Great Q&A with Steve on the Quietus about the exhibition here. It’s going to be epic!.

Trash Talk taken back in 2010 by newly signed Hell Gate photographer Sam Scott-Hunter. The images are raw, visceral and defiant. Sam’s shot a good deal of the heavier sounding acts out there, and manages to erase what you think these images should look like in your head. View the gallery here.

Tattoo You

Just got back from London and we were thrilled to catch up with many of our photographers across the pond. Wanted to thank our photographers Sophie Jarry, Sonny McCartney, Pat Pope, Jamie Beeden and Pat Graham for meeting us and inspiring us. More to come about our trip later this week, but for now, here’s just one of the many things we discussed over lunch with the insanely awesome Pat Graham- tattoos- more specifically tattoos of one of your photos… We’ve seen plenty of band logo ink, but this is on another level.Talk about homage. Talk about complicated copyright! It’s pretty rad regardless.

Feature Submission- Against Me! by Pat Graham

Back in 2006 Against Me! played the Mean Fiddler in London. The gig was recorded for the live album Americans Abroad!!! Against Me!!! Live in London!!!”   Pat Graham was on hand to photograph the show. We love the photo above of singer Tom Gabel right before hitting the stage and right after leaving it. To view more images from the gig and to license them go here.

Rough Trade Crosses The Pond

We’re surprised it took this long  for a Rough Trade store to make it’s way to Williamsburg. For better or for worse, it will be a big space with in store performances (Rough Trade will be handling that) and Bowery Presents will handling the live performance area late night. Will be interesting to see if they tailor the merch to more American sensibilities. Hopefully it will be as good as the Brick Lane location in London.
